Singapore Airways has agreed to buy 1,000 metric tons of neat sustainable aviation gas from Neste, the service introduced Monday. Singapore and its Scoot subsidiary would be the first carriers to obtain SAF produced at Neste’s Singapore refinery at Changi Airport, in keeping with the service. The worth of the deal was not disclosed.
Neste will mix the SAF with typical jet gas and ship it to Changi’s gas hydrant system in two batches—in the course of the second quarter and fourth quarter of 2024, in keeping with Singapore.
Beginning this month, Singapore will supply 1,000 SAF book-and-claim items for buy by its company vacationers, shippers and freight forwarders, in keeping with the airline. Every book-and-claim unit represents one metric ton of neat SAF and its related carbon dioxide discount advantages.
